Elizabeth is an instinctive carver working 'from the outside in'. She works from the figure, from children and animals and especially from Yoga poses. She looks for tension, balance, the sweep of curves, life in arrested movement. Her work becomes more or less abstract according to the subject. Wood, stone, and alabaster are her materials; her bronzes and resin figures are cast from the carvings. As her Tutor once said 'She rejoices in the form'.
She is a member of the Surrey Sculpture Society, Associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, and others, and shows with Artparks International. She has shown or sold works in France, Germany and Holland. At present her works can be seen at the Oxford Museum, Woodstock, RHS Wisley, the Apple Gallery in Godalming, the Garden Gallery Broughton, near Stockbridge and King Edwards School in Witley, Surrey.
Other work can be seen on the R.B.S website and Artparks International.
